What We Need

Here's what we need in order to do your tax return:


Contact Details

Please be sure we have your current:

 

  • Address
  • Phone numbers
  • Email address
  • Tax File Number

 

Income

Income Satements - We do not need these . The ATO will supply them directly to us.

Interest Income - In most cases we will get bank interest from the ATO, however if you have private loans or investments that generate interest, you need to let us know

Dividends & Distributions - In most cases we will get this information from the ATO, however data is sometimes not available for several months after the end of financial year. If you want to do your tax early, you'll need to provide us these details.

Capital Gains - If you disposed of any investments like shares or property, talk to us about what details we will require.

Self-Employment - If you operate a business, please talk to us about what deatils we will require.


Expenses

Work Related Expenses - We will need details of all claims you intend to make against your employment income.

Donations - Please provide receipts for all charitable donations.

Super Contributions - If you made a contribution to your own super (other than via salary sacrifice) and wish to claim a deduction, you must notify the fund and provide us with their confirmation.

Income Protection Insurance - If you have an income protection insurance policy, the insurer should send you a letter advising the deductible premiums for the year.


Investment Properties

Rental Summary Statement - The annual statement from your property manager.

Council Rates & Water - Notices or amounts paid for rates and water.

Insurance - The annual amount paid.

Repairs & Maintenance - Any out-of-pocket amounts for repairs you paid for (unless already listed on the agent's summary).

Loan Interest - A summary page or mortgage statements from your bank.

Depreciable assets - If you replaced or added any assets to the property, we will need details including the date of purchase for each asset.


Rebates

Spouse's Super - If you made a spouse super contribution, please provide the details.

Zone Offset - If you spent time in a remote zone, please provide location and dates.


Bank Details

Please ensure we have your current bank details to enable a speedy refund.
